Greetings: The mission of Traynor’s Police Academy is “…to provide communities with competent and confident law enforcement officer.” Professionalism, discipline, responsibility, and teamwork are a few of the principles we stress at our academy. Our graduates are sought by departments who look for highly trained, disciplined and professional law enforcement officers. Now in our 35th year of training the best law enforcement officers anywhere, we are looking forward to starting our 100th class in the fall of 2006. In recognition of those 35 years we are giving $500 training grants to the first 35 students enrolled in our next classes. See our financial information page on this web site for further details. Our Training Academy is conveniently located at 5396 Fulton Drive, Jackson Township, Stark County, Canton, Ohio. With easy access to the freeways, we regularly have students commuting in excess of 50 miles or more to receive their training at our academy. Maps and directions are available on this web site. As you review the enclosed list of our Staff of Instructors, you will notice many began their training at our academy and have served as Chiefs of Police (35 or more), Sheriffs (4 our more) and other high ranking law enforcement officials. The information on this web site is to give you an overview into our law enforcement training programs. I have outlined the requirements for enrollment, the tuition, payment options and expenses involved.
